LOTE Proficiency will test your overall oral proficiency in a language other than English. Through structured prompts, you demonstrate how well you can organize thoughts, use appropriate vocabulary and grammar, and express ideas with clarity, fluency, and accuracy. The evaluation focuses on multiple linguistic and discourse dimensions, such as pronunciation, grammar control, lexical richness, fluency, coherence, and sociolinguistic appropriateness, offering a comprehensive view of your overall communicative proficiency.
The assessment consists of 4 sections and a total of 7 exercises. You will have 50 minutes to complete the entire assessment. An additional 20 minutes is allocated at the beginning for overall instructions.
