Description

This module serves as a detailed overview to basic concepts of anatomy and physiology. It provides the necessary tools to build a foundation for understanding and further development in the fields of Human Anatomy and Physiology as it is applicable and relevant to healthcare interpreters.

As it relates to healthcare interpreting, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify basic anatomical components for various body systems
  2. Utilize the anatomical position to decipher location information in medical jargon
  3. Distinguish between different physiological aspects of and conditions affecting various body systems
  4. Demonstrate application of knowledge gain during an interpreting encounter
