MasterWord is a trauma-informed organization following the principles and best practices for the Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime.
By the nature of the work they do, interpreters have the opportunity to facilitate communication for vulnerable populations in society. To assist interpreters in being prepared to provide language access to these groups, we will explore trauma from the perspective of the interpreter and discuss strategies for navigating these difficult situations.
