Description

This is a training on accuracy in interpretation, which is a fundamental measure of a professional interpreter, encompassing a range of essential skills and practices. It is 75 minutes long. Accredited CEUs: 1.25 CCHI, .125 IMIA, .125 BEI, .125 RID*.
*Non-TSID members must pay $10 processing fee for RID CEUs.

This training focuses on the ethical standard of accuracy in interpretation, addressing key challenges such as handling figurative language, cultural contexts, nonverbal cues, and correcting errors. Participants will gain strategies and tools to improve their overall accuracy in interpreting.

  3. Explore strategies for managing double negatives, false starts, and expletives in interpretation
