This workshop will provide participants with information about the basic role of the interpreter in legal proceedings, as well as the proper protocol that is to be used inside the courtroom. We will review the three modes of interpretation used in the courtroom, as well as the proper protocol. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the JBCC Code of Ethics and to use critical thinking skills in applying the canons of the code of ethics in real-life situations.
